Kerrisdale Community or Kerrisdale Village is a quaint and quiet area.  If you enjoy shopping outdoors and walking along the old brick sidewalks, you'll love living in Kerrisdale.  There are many shops along the Kerrisdale Village like Thomas Hobbs Florist, Ed's Linens, Starbucks (of course) Shota Sushi, London Drugs, GAP, Hills of Kerrisdale, to name a few. This is a quaint area that doesn't require a car to get around.  Bus lines are on West 41st and Arbutus and it is easy to get around, and can take you all the way to the University of British Columbia or downtown. Shops and services are also around every corner so if you live here, you don't need to have a car. You can walk everywhere.  The Kerrisdale Community Centre and Public library as well as the Kerrisdale Skating Arena is centrally located as well.
